Trio In Contention for Young Sports Star Award

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The show will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
