Football Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's new record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Parenting Life
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."
Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.
"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.
My son advised me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.
Fulham have got plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.
As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
Their performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.
But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home record, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

This is a hard one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
